About Melanie Woods

Melanie has worked in the housing industry for over 15 years, specializing in single-family, multi-family, land-use entitlements, and rentals. She currently serves as the Vice President of Local Public Affairs for the California Apartment Association. As such, she is able to provide her clients unique access to the latest information on local market trends, as well as new statewide policies that could impact home values and investments.

Melanie is a part of the Spear Real Estate Group, an experienced and well-regarded real estate team in the heart of sunny San Diego! With a passion for excellence and a commitment to client satisfaction, we strive to help our clients build a secure future in the home of your dreams.

Melanie currently lives in Scripps Ranch with her husband, two young kids, and shih tzu, Riley. She is a Scripps Ranch enthusiast and deeply involved in the community. She serves on the local civic association and volunteers her time to support community events. She also specializes in Clairemont, Tierrasanta, University City, Rancho Bernardo, and Poway.

Melanie has a Masters of Public Administration from San Diego State University, along with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Political Science. She has also completed coursework in the University of San Diego’s Real Estate Certificate Program.
